You should always be very careful when you surf the net. Obviously, never give your bank account or any personal information on a non-secured site. Secured sites are often signed by ''verysign'' or others and a small window appears to inform you that this site is on a secured server.

Certain sites which at just may seem very innocent, about absolutely any subject can completely steal your identity, transmit a virus, enter your computer and surf on your hard disk looking for anything that can be of interest to them. Hacker are increasing in number and harder to identify.

They are very few ways to be 100% protected. You must be cautious. Here a re few tips to help you safely surf the net.

- Avoid visits on ''crack'' sites, often operated by hackers!

- Avoid all sites with illegal or adult contents. They are the worse place to have your identity stolen and undesirable programmes installed!

- Avoid sites that open in ''full screen. and keep you prisoner. Even if the site seems innocent and interesting, remember you do not know the webmaster of this site, his criminal intent may be hidden behind a nice subject and the ''HACKER'' may be hiding behind his screen waiting for his victim. Site that open ''Full screen'' allow the ''hacker'' to enter your computer ans steal all your personal informations while you are surfing unsuspicious of what is happennning. Not to mention that you are vulnerable to virus attacks because it will be impossible to intercept him (obvious sunce the site is open in ''full screen'' and prevents opning of any new window!) Morever, often time many pop-ups open without you noticing. As a result when your visit is over, you often have 3-4 window opened! AVOID THIS TYPE OF WEBSITE!

- Get a good firewall and anti-virus. Do not forget to update it regulary!

Hackers / web thieves are numerous. Sometimes they are real ''HACKER'', sometimes amateurs not aware of what a copyright is. To this day, their is no 100% fool proof way to protect your data on your website.
